Step by step
Packing step by step
Put the sample in a zip‑lock bag
Put on gloves and place the sample straight into an airtight zip-lock bag. Check that the bag seals properly, then put it inside a second bag.
Label the bag
Write the material and where the sample was taken clearly on the bag (e.g. “bathroom wall, tile adhesive”).
One sample per bag
If you have several samples, each one gets its own bag with its own label.
Pack into the outer packaging
Wrap the bags in bubble wrap or tissue paper and put them in a box or a sturdy padded envelope. Seal it with tape.
Label the outer packaging
Write or stick on the address, with FINLAND on the last line. Write on the package: “Asbestos sample – laboratory”.
