Report
Results and report
The asbestos analysis report is a clear, easy-to-read document that shows unambiguously whether the sample contains asbestos. It also states the asbestos type, the dust class, the analysis method and an interpretation of the result.
How it works
How do I get my result?
The sample arrives
When your sample arrives at the laboratory, it is registered and matched to your order. You receive a confirmation by email.
The analysis is carried out
The sample is analysed with the SEM electron microscope and LIVE-EDS elemental analysis in line with ISO 22262-1. A specialist interprets the result.
The report is sent
The report is emailed to you as a PDF on the day your sample arrives. It contains all the analysis results.

Reading guide
How do I read the result?
"No asbestos detected"
No asbestos fibres were found in the sample during JEOL SEM-EDS analysis. The material can usually be handled like ordinary construction waste. Remember that the result applies only to the sample tested – other materials in the same building may still contain asbestos.
"Asbestos detected"
The sample contains asbestos. The report names the asbestos type (for example chrysotile or amosite). Materials containing asbestos must always be removed by a contractor qualified for asbestos removal. Do not try to remove the material yourself. The work requires specialist equipment, protective gear and correct disposal of the waste, which is classed as hazardous waste – ask your local authority or waste centre how this is handled where you live.
