Asbestos analysis result – what's in the report?
The asbestos analysis result comes as a PDF report in English by email the same day the sample arrives. The report is clear, detailed and follows ISO 22262-1.

The sample arrives
The laboratory receives the sample and starts the analysis. You get a confirmation.
The analysis is complete
The JEOL SEM-EDS analysis is completed the same day. An expert prepares the report.

You receive the PDF report by email. The report contains all the key information.

What's in the report – and what does the result mean?
Report contents
- Details of the customer and samples (site, material, location)
- Description of the instrument and method (JEOL SEM-EDS, ISO 22262-1)
- Identification of the asbestos type (all 6 types)
- Result per sample: contains / does not contain asbestos
- Dust class, i.e. risk class 0–5
- Interpretation of the result
- Analyst's signature and photos of the samples as an appendix
Positive result
Asbestos was found in the sample. Don't work on or remove the material without protective measures. Removal must be carried out by a contractor qualified for asbestos removal.
Negative result
No asbestos was found in the sample. The result covers all six types of asbestos. Remember that the result applies only to the sample analysed.
